Did you get your lily order together? The orienpets have an incredible fragrance, better than the trumpets, which smell to me of Noxema skin cream.

I can't find the comment button for your last post, about fragrant spring bulbs. Hyacinths are my fave, followed by jonquillas, especially Sweetness -- I like to just stand in a little stand of daffodils and breathe. Thalia is a fragrant late daffodil.

The neighborhood children used to play plastic bat and ball baseball in my little front yard. My neighbor, older, no children ever, asked me why I let them make holes in the lawn for bases. I said that one day they'd be grown and gone and then I would have a perfect lawn.

Sure enough, all too soon, I looked out one day and the lawn was perfectly even and all was quiet, inside and out of the house.

Some of the children who played there, including one of mine, are dead now and we have moved. I don't regret being the neighborhood ball park for a few years, at all.

Thanks Ann! It is so funny, my kids were yelling at me today, "Mom! Come look at this!" Sure enough, there was the slightest hint of pink in the oldest bloom. So it will be interesting to see the blooms this plant produces over time. Thank you again for your insight!
